12th Annual Read Adair County, Thursday, March 1, 2012 Added attractions: Western Kentucky University's Big Red Mascot will be onhand with coloring books, pencils and drawings for t-shirts. By Ellen Zornes The 12th Annual Read Adair County will be held at Adair County Elementary School, 870 Indian Drive, 4:30-6:30pmCT, Thursday, March 1, 2012. Free pizza and soft drinks will be served. The Cat in the Hat will be there to give each child a goody bag with a book, pencil and other stuff as well as lots of story book characters to read books and to have pictures taken with your child (bring your camera). We will also have activity rooms, BINGO for Books, face painting and will be recognizing top Accelerated Readers for each school. WKU Big Red Mascot will be on hand with coloring books, pencils and drawings for T-shirts. Dress as your favorite storybook character and join in the parade of story book characters led by The Cat in the Hat himself. So come help us wish Dr. Seuss a Happy Birthday.
