She was a member of a large, respected Russell County, KY family. She was a waitress and a member of the Jamestown Christian Church

Brenda Sue Loy, 65, S.Hwy 127, Russell Springs, KY, died Thursday, February 23, 2012, at the Russell County Hospital, Russell Springs, KY.Funeral services will be at 2pmCT, Sunday, February 26, 2012, at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Tony Stephens and Bro. David Green the officiating clergy. Visitation will be after 5pmCT, Saturday, February 25, 2012, at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Russell County Memorial Gardens.


Pallbearers: Marty Underwood, Jeff Smith, Scott Grider, David Bell, Steve Bledsoe, and Larry Bryant.

Honorary pallbearers: Rabon Smith, Brooks Bates, Elvin Wiilson, and Jesse Tucker.

Brenda Sue Loy, Russell County, KY (1945-2012)

Brenda Sue Lou was born September 20, 1945, in Russell County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Beulah Snow Bell and the late Woodrow Bell. She died Thursday, February 23, 2012, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 65 years, 5 months, and 3 days.

She was a waitress and a member of the Jamestown Christian Church.

She is survived by her husband, Billy Loy, Russell Springs, KY, and the following:
  • One daughter: Martina (Trent) Hadley, Russell Springs, KY

  • Two sisters: Diana Underwood, Louisville, KY; and Marketta (Scott) Grider, Jamestown, KY

  • Two brothers: Glenn Bell and Jimmy Bell, both of Indiana

  • Special friends and caretakers: Jeff and Patsy Smith

  • Sister in law: Donna Bryant, Columbia, KY
He was preceded in death by one sister, Ilene Payton.

The Bernard Funeral Home, 367 Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, in charge of arrangements.
