The funeral services for Mr. Edward Alvin Pierce will be conducted at 11amCT, Saturday, February 25, 2012 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main Street, Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the Greensburg Cemetery. Bro. Mark Graham and Bro. Keith Clements will be officiating. Visitation is requested from 3pm-8pmCT, Friday, February 25, 2012, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7amCT Saturday until time of the funeral service. Edward Alvin Pierce, Green County, KY (1922-2012) Mr. Edward Alvin Pierce was the son of the late George Al Pierce and Mary Ada Stearman Pierce. He was born Saturday, July 18, 1922 in Green County, KY and departed this life on Thursday, February 23, 2012 in Greensburg, Green County, KY. He was 89 years, 7 months and 5 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a Member and Deacon of the Beech Grove Baptist Church. He was a WWII Veteran having served in the United States Army. He was also a self-employed Carpenter. He united in marriage to Lorene Meadows Pierce on March 16, 1947 who preceded him in death on June 15, 2009. Survivors include the following:
