Helen Cochran Jeffries, Casey County, KY (1925-2012) She was a native of Casey County, KY and a member of a highly regarded family. She was a retired school teacher who taught five years in Casey County and 25 in the Erlanger School System in Northern Kentucky. Sheserved as a high school counselor for 15 years, also in the Erlanger School System. Helen Cochran Jeffries passed away on Sunday February 19, 2012 at Emeritus atEdgewood, KY She was born in Chilton, Kentucky on April 15th, 1925 and was 86. Visitation will be held 11:30amET/10:30amCT,Thursday February 23, 2012 at the Bartle Funeral Home Chapel, 142 KY Hwy 49 Liberty, KY Funeral services will begin at 1pmET/12pm noon CT, Thursday afternoon at the Bartle Funeral Home Chapel. Shewas the daughter of George Preston and Lenora Atwood Cochran, both deceased. She died Sunday February 19, 2012 in Edgewood, Kenton County, KY, at he age of 86 years, 10 months, and 4 days. She was also preceded in death by her spouse, William Fred Jeffries, one daughter, Freda Jeffries, six sisters, Chelcie Reed, Estelle Cannon, Adna Edwards, Bessie Williams, Nancy Gorley and Doris Brown, and three brothers, Floyd Cochran, George Monroe Cochran, and Carl Cochran. She was a retired school teacher who taughtfive years in Casey County and 25 in the Erlanger School System.
