He was a native of Florida and a member of a respected Knifley, Adair County, KY family. He worked in construction.

Richard Fiore "Podi" Marrapodi passed away Saturday February 18, 2012 at his home in Knifley, KY. He was 23.

Funeral services will be at 11amET/10amCT, Tuesday February 21, 2012 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Timothy Brown officiating. Burial will be at Tapscott Cemetery. Visitation is 6pm-9pmET/5pm-8pmCT, Monday, February 20, 2012.


Richard Fiore (Poli) Marrapodi, Adair County, KY (1988-2012)

He was born Wednesday, October 12, 1988 in Arcadia, DeSoto County, Florida. He was the son of Richard Marrapodi and Sharon Brucker Peyton. He died Saturday, February 18, 2012, in Knifley, Adair County, KY, at the age of 23 years, 4 months, and 6 days.

He worked in construction.

Survivors include the following:
  • His mother: Sharon (Stephen) Peyton of Louisville, KY

  • His father: Richard Marrapodi of Knifley, KY

  • His wife: Sonya Marrapodi of Somerset, KY

  • His son: Ian Marrapodi of Somerset, KY

  • Daughter: Sydney Marrapodi of Somerset, KY

  • Step daughter, Madison Bertram of Somerset, KY

  • Brother: Michael Marrapodi of Louisville, KY

  • Two sisters: Cheryle Propes and Helena Propes Johnson both of Campbellsville, KY

  • Paternal grandmother: Margaret Marrapodi of Florida

  • And maternal grandparents: Daniel and Cheryle Brucker and Virginia McFarland all of Casey County
He is preceded in death by a son, Jaxon Marrapodi; maternal great great grandmother, Lois McFarland; and paternal grandfather, Joseph Marrapodi.
