Laura Ella Sharpe age 94 years a resident of Fair Oaks Health Care in Jamestown, KY formerly of the Ella Community in Adair County, KY, passed away Thursday, February 16, 2012 at 3amCT at Fair Oaks.

Funeral services will be Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 1pmCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY.with the clergy officiating Bro. David Coffey and Bro. Edward Brown. Interment in Columbia Cemetery, 315 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY. Visitation after 8amCT, Saturday, February 18, 2012, until time for service.



Laura Ella Sharpe, Adair County, KY (1917-2012)

She was born on September 16, 1917 in Adair County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Hollis and Valda McClister Morrison. She died Thursday, February 16, 2012 in Jamestown, Russell County, KY, at the age of 94 years, 5 months.

She was the widow of Leonard Sharpe who preceded her in death on March 6, 1961.

She is survived by:
  • One nephew: William Morrison and wife Mary of Columbia, KY

  • Special friends: Edward and Shirley Brown of Knifley, KY

  • and a host of other relatives and friends
She was preceded in death by one brother, George Leslie Morrison on November 18, 2006 and a great nephew Adam Morrison on November 17, 1996.

She attended the New Hope Separate Baptist Church and was a homemaker.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of Gideon Bibles and may be made atfuneral home.
