Joyce Spurling, 77, of Campbellsville, KY, died at 1:35pmET, Sunday, February 12, 2012 in Campbellsville, KY

The funeral service was at 11amET Wednesday, February 15, 2012, at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY, by Rev. Ron Young. Burial was in Brookside Cemetery.


Pallbearers: Bart Bartly, Bill Chandler, Robbie Gray, Maurice Pickett, Ron Rafferty, and Jimmy Wooley.

Joyce Spurling, Taylor Co., KY (1934-2012)

Joyce Spurling was the daughter of the late Joe Latimer and Opal Christie Latimer. She was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, November 20, 1934. She died Sunday, February 12, 2012 in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 77 years, 2 months, and 22 days.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

She was employed in retail sales for many years and was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville, KY.

She united in marriage to Charles Spurling July 8, 1960.

Besides her husband, Charles Spurling, she is survived by the following:
  • One daughter: Sherri Brewer and husband, Shawn of Campbellsville, KY

  • Two step-granddaughters: Leah Cook of Danville and Kayla Brewer of Florence, KY

  • One brother and one sister: Donald Latimer and wife, Mary of Jacksonville, Florida and Barbara Parrish and husband, Jim of Columbus, Georgia

  • And several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends
She was preceded in death by three brothers: Bobby Latimer, Lowell Kenneth Latimer and Gary Richard Latimer.The Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY in charge of arrangements.
