20 year old charged with murder in death of great grandmother

From Campbellsville, KY Police Department

The Campbellsville Police Department on Saturday February 11, 2012, responded to a request for a 'welfare check' from Matt Wayne of Cincinnati, Ohioreporting he had not heard from his mother Elizabeth Arimsmier.



Ms. Arimsmier, 78years of age, resided at 105 Daisy Drive in Campbellsville. Officers responded to theaddress Saturday morning at approximately 9:30 AM and did not receive a response.

Entry was gained and the victim - Ms. Arimsmier was found unresponsive. The Coronerwas notified and pronounced the victim deceased.

An autopsy was performed by theState Medical Examiner's Office in Louisville on Sunday February 12 which determinedthe victim dies as a result of blunt force trauma sustained days earlier.

The investigation continued Sunday resulting in the arrest of Jessie James Durham, age20 of Campbellsville. Durham is the great-grandson of the victim. Durham was chargedwith Murder and lodged in the Taylor County Regional Jail.

The investigation is continuing by Officer David Tucker.
