Bojangles: The Death Bringer

A rising start high school writer shares a fascinating work of dark fiction

Sophomore at Campbellsville HS, His freshman year at ACHS

There once was a man who went to war.

His name Bojangles. He had many friends And comrades Many of each but One thing topped Them all, his Kill count. Bojangles killed many Men.

All feared Him. Enemies called Bojangles the Death Bringer.



With his sword He charged the Battlefield.

Bloodshed always Followed in his wake.

One day Word got to the enemy they Would face dear old Bojangles today.

Two recruits nearby could be heard saying "Oh no, oh no The Death Bringer comes today!"

The other recruit "Nay for today Will be the Death Bringer's day. Fear not I shall be the last man He sees today!"

The battle began the Death Bringer Charged and so did the recruit, Each killing many men but Soon, too soon shall they face Each other.

Soon they come face To face. The recruit swings. Bojangles blocks. With expertise Bojangles swings next.

The recruit parries with finesse. The battle between the Two lasted long. but time Was nigh for one of them. One of them has gone to The gates of Hell.

The Victor standing sword in One hand. Severed head the other.

The victor stood roaring His mighty war cry. Bojangles lay with His body face down Missing his severed head.

Today the recruit was a Hero and has finally stopped the neverending bloodshed of Bojangles the Death Bringer.

Now is the end of our tale -Wichita Owens
