Click on headline for story with photo(s)

By Patty Jones, Principal, Colonel William Casey Elementary School

Congratulations to Mrs. Debbie Bradshaw. She has been selected by her peers to represent Col. Wm. Casey Elementary School in the Campbellsville University Teacher of Excellence Awards Program for 2011-2012.

Debbie is not only an outstanding first grade teacher at CWC, but a true teacher leader in our school, district and community. Anyone who knows Debbie knows of her passion for our environment and for guiding children to appreciate and care for it as well. She has been and is instrumental in maintaining the PRIDE Grant program in the Adair County School District.

She is also the coordinator for the Energy Team at CWC and has been the key to increasing the awareness and conservation of our energy resources at the school. Recently Mrs. Bradshaw, along with others were the driving force behind a successful grant application that kept the afterschool program at our school alive for at least five more years.

As principal of Col. Wm. Casey I feel extremely fortunate to work with such an outstanding individual and applaud our faculty's choice for this honor. -Patty Jones
