Mrs. Betty Sue Spears McIntyre, age 77, of the Jones Ridge Community in Cumberland County, Ky., passed away Tuesday February 7, 2012 at the Cumberland County Hospital in Burkesville, KY.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, February 10, 2012 at 11amCT in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home, 601 N. Main Street, Burkesville, KY. Burial will follow in the Jones Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 3pmCT on Thursday. February 9, 2012 until the service time on Friday.



Mrs. Betty Sue Spears McIntyre, Cumberland Co., KY (1934-2012)

She was born on Friday, November 16, 1934 in Clay County, Tennessee the daughter of Homer Lee and Nellie Groce Spears. She died Tuesday, February 7, 2012, in Burkesvillle, Cumberland Co., KY, at the age of 77 years, 2 months, and 21 days.

She was a member of Jones Chapel United Methodist Church, and a seamstress for Bob Evans Manufacturing.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Junior Bee Spears, and Billy Gene Spears: and her sisters, Anna Lee Spears and Marie Elizabeth "Libby" Strange.

She is survived by her husband, Leonard McIntyre of Burkesville, KY and the following:
  • Her children: Michael (and Charolette) McIntyre of Breeding, KY: Denise (and Larry) Anderson of Burkesville, KY; and David (and Stacy) McIntyre of Burkesville, KY

  • Her grandchildren: Amanda (and Larry) England, Kendra McIntyre, and Landon McIntyre

  • Her great-grandchildren: Lincoln England and Kennedy England
The family suggest memorials be directed to the Jones Ridge Cemetery Fund.
