Douglas "Sonny" Reed of Mannsville, KY, died at 1amET, Tuesday, February 7, 2012 in Mannsville, KY, at the age of 69 years.

Funeral services will be at 11amET/10amCT, Thursday, February 9, 2012 at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville by Bro. Todd Davis. Burial will be in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 3878 Greensburg Road, Campbellsville, KY. Visitation is after 5pmET/4pmCT, Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at the funeral Home.



Douglas (Sonny) Reed, Taylor Co., KY (1942-2012)

Douglas "Sonny" Reed was the son of the late Kyle Reed and Stella Maryjane Graybeal Reed. He was born in Taylor County, KY, Friday, August 21, 1942. He died Tuesday, February 7, 2012 in Mannsville, Taylor County, KY at the age of 69 years, 5 months, and 18 days.

He was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville, KY.

He united in marriage to Patricia Cox September 3, 1964. She preceded him in death June 28, 2009.

He is survived by the following:
  • Two daughters: Kim Pike of Mannsville, KY; and Pam Moore and husband, Richard of Campbellsville, KY

  • Six grandchildren: John Moore, Kyle Moore and Felicia Whitley and husband, Derrick of Campbellsville, KY; and Adam Powell and wife, Tiffany, Cameron Craig and Dakota Craig of Mannsville, KY

  • Four great grandchildren: Lane Whitley of Campbellsville, KY; and Easton Powell, Keeley Powell and Caley James of Mannsville, KY

  • one sister: Linda Callahan and husband, Bradley of Elk Horn, KY

  • One niece and one nephew: Carolyn Ford of Elk Horn, KYAnd Bobby Perkins of Greensburg, KY

  • And many other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by a sister, Alberta Perkins.
