Sue Grider Merkling, Metcalfe Co., KY (d. Feb. 3, 2012) Services at 1pmCT, Monday, Feb. 6, 2012, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East ST, Edmonton, KY Heaven gained another Angel February 3, 2012 when Susie Grider Merkling went home to be with her Mom and Dad, Roger and Hazel Grider, as she will hear "Well done good and faithful servant." Susie leaves a great legacy of touching many people throughout her career prior to "happily" retiring due to her health. She will be gone but not forgotten. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband Jim Merkling and their children. Jason Upchurch and fiancee Tabitha Foley Bradley and her children Chloe and Lillian Bradley of Russell Springs.Josh and Shannon Upchurch of Glasgow. Jim and Deon Merkling II of Smyrna, Tennessee. Jonathan and Meredyth Merkling of Bowling Green and Renee and Shannon Thornton of Florence, Alabama. She is also survived by a sister Monica and Wayne Vahle of Port St. Lucie, Florida. Her grandchildren Trenton Jayce Upchurch, Camdyn William Mark Upchurch, Lila Jo Upchurch, Ethan Gregory Merkling, Elliott Marquette Merkling, Anna Thornton and Foster Thornton. Two nephews, Brad Grider and Brandon Pitchford. Her mother-in-law and father-in law Kenneth and Nell McBride of Glasgow. Funeral services will be held 1pmCT, Monday February 6, 2012 at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton with burial in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Randolph, KY.
