Poetry Night, February 2012, honors Black History month From Christine O'Rourke News of Poetry Night, Downtown Columbia, KY On Monday, February 27 starting at 6pmCT, Cafe on the Square, 212 Public Square, Columbia, KY along with Lindsey Wilson College Student Activities will be hosting Open Mic Night in honor of Black History Month. Students and members of the community are invited to read poetry, sing or play an instrument related to Black History Month or themed around equality, social justice, race, religion, etc. All songs must be original or available through public domain. Participants are encouraged to sign-up ahead of time at the Cafe on the Square or the Student Activities Office. We will also accept walk-ins that evening (provided the setup is not extensive).
