Donald H. Samuell, age 76 years of the Edmonton Road, Edmonton, KY passed away suddenly Thursday, January 19, 2012 at 10:35amCT, at his home.

Funeral services will be Sunday, January 22, 2012 at 1pmCT at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Darrell Landis and Bro. Ralph Hadley officiating. Interment in the Sparksville Baptist Church Cemetery, 9401 Burkesville Road, Sparksville, KY. The family request visitation after 4pmCT, Saturday, January 21, 2012, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.

He was born Tuesday, June 12,1935 the son of the late Zack Louis and Elsie Loy Samuell of Glensfork, Adair County, KY. He died Thursday, January 19, 2012 at the age of 76 years, 7 months, and 7 days.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Gowen Samuel, of Columbia, KY and the following:
  • Sons: Roger Samuell of Breeding, KY, and Zack Louis Samuell of Columbia, KY

  • One Sister: Bernadine Andrew of Glensfork, KY

  • Three grandchildren: Mark Samuell, Kim Samuell and Kevin Samuell

  • and four great grandchildren
He was preceded in death by one brother, Sanford SamuellMr. Samuell was a lifelong farmer and attended the Sparksville Baptist Church.

Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY in charge of arrangements.
