The Blue Raiders (14-5) received 114 voting points from the 12 coaches that make up the national raters following Lindsey Wilson's 2-1 record last week.

Lindsey Wilson is coming off a week where it beat unranked Midway (Ky.) College and then-No. 15-ranked Georgetown (Ky.) College. The Blue Raiders lost to then-No. 9-ranked Shawnee State (Ohio) University during the week.

Lindsey Wilson is one of five Mid-South Conference schools in the poll this week. No. 8-ranked University of the Cumberlands (KY), No. 12-ranked Shawnee State, No. 17-ranked Campbellsville (KY) University, No. 18-ranked Georgetown join Lindsey Wilson to help the MSC place the most ranked teams from a single conference in the poll.

Freed-Hardeman (TN) University (15-2) is the new No. 1 following losses to last week's top two teams. Freed-Hardeman received 312 voting points and 11 of the 12 first-place votes.

Oklahoma City University (15-1) is No. 2 with 299 voting points and the final first-place vote. Union University (16-2), Westmont College (16-1) and Langston University complete the top five.

The poll is voted upon by a panel of head coaches representing each conference, the independents and unaffiliated groups. The next poll is scheduled to be announced on Monday, January 23. - Chris Wells, Sports Information Director, Lindsey Wilson College
