Esther Bell, Taylor Co., KY (1932-2012)

She was a member of a large, respected Taylor Co., KY family. She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Levelwoods United Methodist Church. She was a retired employee of Nationwide Sewing Factory in Hodgenville after some 30 plus years of service

Esther Bell, 79, of Campbellsville, KY, died at 7:30 A.M., Wednesday, January 11, 2012 in Edgewood, Kentucky.

The funeral service was at 11amET, Saturday, January 14, 2012, at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY by Bro. Andrew Singh and Bro. Wallace Votaw. Burial is in Levelwoods United Methodist Church Cemetery.



Pallbearers: David Bray, Chris Buckman, Robert Grimes, Roger Grimes, Michael Skaggs, Paul Wright, and Scott Wright.

Honorary pallbearers: hannah Buckman, Kaylee Buckman, Will Buckman, Andrew Cox, Zack Cox, Ellen Jacobs, and Tony Jacobs.

Esther Bell, Taylor Co., KY (1932-2012)

Esther Bell was the daughter of the late Edward Puyear and the late Lula Shofner Puyear. She was born Sunday, February 7, 1932, in Marion County, KY. She died Wednesday, January 11, 2012 in Edgewood, Kenton Co., KY at the age of 79 years, 11 months, and 4 days.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Levelwoods United Methodist Church.

She was a retired employee of Nationwide Sewing Factory in Hodgenville after some 30 plus years of service.

She united in marriage to Herman E. Bell April 2, 1954. He preceded her in death December 2, 2004.

She is survived by the following:
  • One daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Phil Jacobs of Edgewood, KY

  • One granddaughter: Ellen Jacobs, Edgewood, KY
  • One grandson: Tony Jacobs of Edgewood, KY

  • Two sisters and two brothers: Mildred Grimes and Claude Puyear of Louisville, KY; Connie Nalley of Lebanon, KY; and Elbert Puyear of Campbellsville, KY

  • One half-sister: Dorothy Doty of Illinois

  • Several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends
She was also preceded in death by one brother and one sister, Herman Puyear and Marie Schulak; four siblings in infancy; and one half-brother and two half-sisters: Donald Puyear, Ruth Byington and Lena Caldwell.

The Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY, in charge of arrangements.
