Gary Lynn Roy, Hart Lane, Russell Springs, KY, died Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at 11:56pmET/10:56pmCT, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, KY.

The funeral service will be at 1pmCT, Saturday, January 14, 2012, at Parksridge Church of God, Russell Springs, KY, with Rev. Billy Silverman officiating. Visitation will be Saturday after 10amCT, at the church. Burial will be in New Friendship Baptist Church, Russell Springs, KY.


Gary Lynn Roy, Russell County, KY (1961-2012)

He was born Friday, June 16, 1961, in Gibson City, Ford County, Illinois. He was the son of the late Glendo Roy and the late Jo Lyn (Holt) Roy. He died Tuesday, January 10, 2012, in Somerset, Pulaski County, KY, at the age of 50 years, 6 months, and 24 days.

He was a store clerk.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon Roy, Russell Springs, KY, and the following:
  • A daughter: Hanna Booth, Shelbyville, KY

  • A step son: Stephen Daniel, West Virginia

  • A step daughter: Renea Back, Norwal, OH

  • A brother: James (Bo) Roy, Russell Springs, KY

  • A sister: Melanie Roy, Russell Springs, KY

  • Three grandchildren
The H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N. Main Street, Jamestown, KY, in charge of arrangements.
