Eldon Russell Guthrie, Cumberland Co., KY (1933-2012) He was a member of Guthrie Chapel United Methodist Church, a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran, a tool and die maker for Peerless Pump for over 44 years, a member of the Cumberland Lodge No. 413 F and A.M. in Burkesville, Kentucky and a member of the order of the Murat Shriners Temple in Indianapolis, Indiana. Click on headline for complete obituary and photo(s) Mr. Elden Russell Guthrie, age 78, of Indianapolis, Indiana and formerly of the Guthrie Chapel Community of Cumberland County, Kentucky passed away Saturday January 7, 2012 at the Select Specialty Hospital in Beech Grove, Indiana. Services will be at 10amCT, Saturday, January 12, 2012, at Norris-New Funeral Home, 601 N. Reed Street, Burkesville, KY, with Bro. Donnie Shelley officiating. Burial will be in Guthrie Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 4:00 P.M. on Wednesday until the time of service of Thursday. He died Saturday, January 7, 2012, in Beech Grove, Marion County, Indiana. He was a member of Guthrie Chapel United Methodist Church, a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran, a tool and die maker for Peerless Pump for over 44 years, a member of the Cumberland Lodge # 413 F and A.M. in Burkesville, Kentucky and a member of the order of the Murat Shriners Temple in Indianapolis, Indiana. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Brian Russell Guthrie and his daughter, Carmela Guthrie Seal.
