LWC offers discounted course to HS, seniors Two courses for High School students are offered online By Duane Bonifer News from Lindsey Wilson College COLUMBIA, KY - Area high school students can get an early start on college by enrolling in select classes this spring at Lindsey Wilson College. And area senior citizens can take select courses at the college for free. LWC's 2012 spring semester begins on Wednesday, January 18. Qualified high school seniors can select up to two classes from six being offered this spring from Lindsey Wilson. And qualified high school students can also take online courses from Lindsey Wilson. In addition to giving students a head start on college, the courses also help students save a considerable amount of money -- the cost for each three-hour course is $180. "I am pleased Lindsey Wilson offers a range of dual-credit courses to high school students this semester," said Lindsey Wilson Vice President of Academic Affairs Bettie Starr. "These courses allow students to engage in college-level learning and earn credits toward a college degree while they are still in high school. It's a great opportunity." The four Christian ministry courses offered this spring are part of the LWC Senior Scholars Program, which allows area citizens who are 62 years or older to take one undergraduate class at no tuition expense. The Lindsey Wilson Board of Trustees created the Senior Scholars program as a way to show the college's appreciation to the region's senior citizens. The spring Senior Scholars classes are:
