Dale Lynn Melson, Russell County, KY (1972-2012)

He was a member of a large, respected Russell County, KY, family. He was an employee of Fruit of the Loom, Jamestown, KY. He had been hospitalized at UK Medical Center following an ATV accident in September, 2011 (Link)

Dale Lynn Melson, Shawnee Avenue, Russell Springs, KY, died Monday, January 2, 2012, at the UK Medical Center in Lexington, KY.The funeral service for Mr. Melson will be at 11amCT, Thursday, January 5, 2012, at Bernard Funeral Home, 367 Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Ralph Foster the officiating clergy. Visitation will be after 5pmCT, Wednesday, January 4, 2012, in the chapel. Burial will be in Shearer Cemetery.



Pallbearers: Ben Cardoza, Danny Bailey, Chris Hites, Archie Gabehart, Tommy Conover, and Douglas Carnes. Honorary Pallbearers: Ricky Riggins and Tony Durham.

Dale Lynn Melson, Russell County, KY (1972-2012)

He was born November 2, 1972, in Clinton County, KY. He was the son of Geneva Conover Melson, who survives, and the late Arvel Melson. He died Monday, January 2, 2012, in Lexington, Fayette County, KY, at the age of 39 years, 2 months.

Besides his mother, Geneva Melson, Russell Springs, KY, he is survived by his wife, Amy Melson, Russell Springs, KY, and the following:
  • Four children: Ashley, Kaylay, Ryan, and Alexis

  • His grandmother: Mary Shearer, Jamestown, KY

  • Two brothers: Johnny Melson and Tommy Conover, both of Russell Springs

  • Four sisters: Lois Asberry, Ethel Brown, Jewell Stephens, and Joyce Asberry, all of Russell Springs, KY
He was preceded in death by a brother, J.D. Melson.

He was an employee of Fruit of the Loom, Jamestown, KY.

Bernard Funeral Home, 367 Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, in charge of arrangments.
