Dorothy Thurman, 90, of Edmonton, KY, passed away Saturday, December 31, 2011, at Metcalfe County Health Care Center in Edmonton, KY.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, January 2, 2012, at 2pmCT at Burkesville Cemetery, N. Main Street/Highway 61 north, Burkesville, KY, with Bro. Neil Jeffries officiating. Visitation will be 5:30pm-9pmCT on Sunday, January 1, 2012, at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main Street, in Burkesville, KY.

Dorothy was born in Cyril, Caddo County, Oklahoma. on Thursday, August 18, 1921. She was the daughter of the late Mary Gertrude Penn Mills, and the late William Archie Mills. She died Saturday, December 31 2011, in Edmonton, Metcalfe County, KY, at the age of 90 years, 4 months, and 13 days.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Edward Fairbank Thurman one daughter, Mary Vivian Mulch; 1 Brother, Ross Mills; 1 Sister, Stella Faye Stell; 2 Grandchildren, Bronson Dewayne Flowers; Jennifer Denise Davidson.

Survivors Include the following:
  • Three daughters: Sheryl Flowers of Summer Shade, KY; Stella (William Edward) Davidson of Burkesville, KY; and Wilda Ilene Sutton of Elizabethtown, KY

  • Ten grandchildren, Andy (Barbara) Davidson of Burkesville, KY; Brandon Flowers of Nobob, KY; Dip Dadget Mulch of Selma, OR; Dorothy Evelyn Sutton of Elizabethtown, KY; Georgia May Mulch of IA; Gloria Jean Cawthorn of Summer Shade, KY; Jessie Wayne Mulch of Selma, OR; Phillip (Brenda) Davidson of Burkesville, KY; Tronda Mulch of Selma, OR; Vickie (Robert) Albertson of Burkesville, KY

  • Seventeen great grandchildren

  • And several great great grandchildren
