Sherry Kay Long, 46, of Burkesville, KY, passed away Friday, December 30, 2011, at Cumberland County Hospital in Burkesville, KY.

Funeral services on Sunday, January 1, 2012, at 2:00 PM at Ballou and Stotts Funeral Home, 304 North Main Street, Burkesville, KY, with Bro. Ronnie Pitcock officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Visitation will be from 10:30amCT until service time at 2pmCT on Sunday, January 1, 2012, at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, in Burkesville, KY.


Sherry Kay Long, 46, Cumberland Co., KY (1965-2011)

Sherry was born in Greensburg, Green Co., KY, on Tuesday, June 15, 1965. She was the daughter of the late Hallie Keith Smith, and the late William Smith Sr. She died Friday, December 20, 2011, in Burkesville, Cumberland Co., KY, at the age of 46 years, 6 months, and 5 days.

She was a former employee of Bob Hale Accounting and a graduate of Somerset Community College. Survivors include the following:
  • One son: Casey Long of Burkesville, KY

  • One daughter: Haley Long of Burkesville, KY

  • One brother: William Smith, Jr. of Monticello, KY

  • Two sisters: Hilda England of Burkesville, KY; and Judy Gentry of Temple Hill, KY

  • Several nieces, nephews, and friends
