K-Mart store closing so far spares local one

The announced closing of 100-120 Sears and K-Mart Stores so far does NOT include the Russell Springs, KY K-Mart.

On December 27, 2011, Sears Holding Company released a list of 79 Sears and K-Mart Stores to be closed with a note that additional closings and infromation will be posted later at Searsmedia.com

The company said that the 79 may be part of as many as 100-120 to be shut down.

Kentucky store closings included a Middlesboro, KY Sears (Hardlines only), a K-Mart in Winchester, KY, and another K-Mart in Hazard, KY.
