Beginner Gardener Program to start in January 2012 By Nick Roy The Adair County Cooperative Extension Service will be offering an educational program beginning in January 2012 for those who are new to gardening or who are looking to expand their knowledge of gardening. This program will emphasize the basic principles of gardening including site selection, soil preparation, pest management, when & what to plant, harvesting, and food preservation. A total of 5 sessions will be held, with each session to be held at the Adair County Extension Office and will begin at 6pmCT. Each session will last approximately 2 hours. Classes will be taught by Extension Agents and Master Gardener volunteers.
