Thank You for Chuck Hinman's writings Alsie Mae Stapleton writes: I want to thank you for printing Chuck Hinman's stories for your readers to enjoy. Chuck was more like a brother to me, rather than just a friend. We shared the piano and organ playing at New Harmony Baptist church. No way did I have the talent that he had, nobody does, but he encouraged me along. I appreciate that you allowed others to enjoy his wonderful memories, that he wrote about so eloquently. I have kept all his stories, and enjoy loaning them to friends that did not know Chuck, except through his stories, that were finally printed in our local newspaper. People who have never met him are remembering him and missing him, through his story writing.I want to Thank You again, for sharing his stories. He was so thrilled to have others, besides just us locals, able to read his stories.Thank you, Alsie Mae Stapleton, for adding to our insight of this wonderful man. Chuck Hinman was a true favorite of CM readers. So many of us deeply mourn his passing. He was a great writer. -ED WAGGENER This story was posted on 2011-12-18 13:33:05
