KSP conducting non-criminal investigation of Russell jail death Peggy McWhorter, 36, found deceased in her cell By TFC Billy Gregory, Public Affairs Officer Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY JAMESTOWN, KY - The Kentucky State Police is conducting a non criminal investigation into the death of Peggy McWhorter (age 36) that occurred at the Russell County Detention Center at approximately 6:10amCT, this morning, Saturday, December 17, 2011. Mrs. McWhorter was located deceased in her cell by a Deputy Jailer while serving breakfast. At this point in the investigation there is no foul play suspected and an autopsy is scheduled.
