Roscoe Sayers, Casey Co., KY native (1939-2011)

He was a member of a large, respected Casey County, KY, family. He was a heavy equipment operator, a member of the Athens Church of Christ, and a former member of the Mintonville Masonic Lodge

Roscoe Sayers, 71, passed away Saturday,December 10, 2011 at the Summerwoods Nursing Home in Pulaski County. He was 71.

Funeral service are 2pmET/1pmCT, Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with Bro. J.D. McDonald and Bro. Kenny Spaw officiating. Burial is in South Fork Cemetery.Visitation is Monday, 6pm-9pmET/5pm8pmCT, at the funeral home.



Roscoe Sayers, Casey Co., KY native (1939-2011)

He was born Friday, December 15, 1939 in Casey County, KY. He was the son of the late Hiram and Exie Harris Sayers. He died Satuday, December 10, 2011 at the Summerwoods Nursing Home in Pulaski County, KY, at the age of 71 years, 11 months, and 26 days.

He was a heavy equipment operator , member of the Athens Church of Christ and former member of the Mintonville Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include the following:
  • Two daughters: Renae Grant of Russell Springs, KY; and Shelia Martin of Nancy, KY

  • Five grandchildren

  • Five great-grandchildren

  • Two brothers: Jack and Garnett Sayers both of Liberty, KY

  • Two sisters: Artie Davenport and Rosene Goodin both of Liberty, KY
In addition to his parent, he is preceded in death by a brother, William Sayers and two sisters, Betty Cundiff and Fayrene Chadwell.Arrangement entrusted to McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY.
