Patty Lou Coffey, 73, Metcalfe Co., KY (d. Dec. 9, 2011)

She was a member of a large, respected Metcalfe County famiiy with many ties in Barren County. She was the widow of the late Kenneth "Wendell" Coffey, to whom she was married 53 years

Patty Lou Coffey, age 73, of Glasgow, KY, formerly of the Randolph Community of Metcalfe County, KY, died Friday, December 9, 2011 at her home.Funeral services will be held 10amCT, Monday, December 12, 2011, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Columbia, KY, Edmonton, KY with burial in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1pm-8pmCT, Sunday, and after 9amCT, Monday, December 12, 2011, at the funeral home.



She was the daughter of the late Billy and Ruie Hurt Taylor.

She was a homemaker and wife of the late Kenneth "Wendell" Coffey whom she was married to for 53 years at his death.


She is survived by the following:
  • One sister: Shirley Peden of Glasgow, KY

  • One brother: Danny Taylor of Edmonton, KY

  • Seven nieces and nephews: Tim Williams, Greg Williams, Marla Gentry, Donna McCandless, Michael Taylor, Anthony Taylor and Melissa Riness.

  • Several great nieces, great nephews and one great great nephew

  • And many friends and special caregivers.
Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. Bonnie Williams, Donna Bell Taylor, Freddie Taylor and Ronnie Lee Taylor.

Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, in charge of arrangements.
