KANSAS CITY, MO - Campbellsville University slid three spots to No. 4 in the second regular season NAIA Wrestling Coaches' Top 20 poll released Wednesday by the NAIA national office.

Nine CU wrestlers are ranked individually in the poll for their weight class Top 12. CU had 11 in the Top 12 last week and all but three Tiger wrestlers lost ground in the rankings.

Tim Thurston remained No. 2 at 133 pounds and Jamelle Jones slides to No. 2 at 197 pounds as the Tigers' highest ranked individuals. Neither has seen the mat for competition this fall.

Two Tigers fell to No. 4 in their weight, beginning with 141-pound Tommy Pretty, who was previously No. 2. Pretty lost in the final match of the Ohio Northern University Invitational December 3 to Lindsey Wilson's DaMonte Riley, who moved up to No. 3 from No. 7. Josh Ashbrook slid one spot from No. 3.

Matt Milton also fell one spot at 149 pounds, dropping to No. 11, while Tyler Alsip dropped a spot to No. 12 in the 133-pound rankings.

Allen Scruggs and Spencer Adams remained No. 5 at 184 and 197 pounds, respectively. Conor Young, No. 6 at 157 pounds, did not change rank either.

Two Tigers dropped out of the rankings: TD Thurston at 125 pounds and Nick Waldrop at 157 pounds.

Southern Oregon returned to the No. 1 spot after being the top-ranked team preseason and falling to No. 2 last week. Great Falls (MT) gained five spots to No. 2 from No. 7, while Grand View (Iowa) moved up a spot to No. 3. Fifth-ranked Oklahoma City, previously No. 7, jumped Lindsey Wilson College, now in sixth-place. Two other MSC teams are ranked in the Top 20: No. 17 Shorter College and No. 18 University of the Cumberlands, both of which were tied for 19th in last week's poll. -CHRIS MEGGINSON
