News from Lindsey Wilson Athletics

COLUMBIA, KY - According to the latest poll released by the NAIA, four of the nation's top-25 women's basketball teams will be in action this weekend at the CBT Classic hosted by Campbellsville (KY) University on December 9-10 at the Powell Athletic Center, 203 Tiger Way, Campbellsville, KY.

No. 25 Lindsey Wilson College plays 12th ranked Bethel (TN) University at 7pmCT on Friday, while the Blue Raiders take on third ranked Azusa Pacific (CA.) University at 4pmCT on Saturday.

Campbellsville opens up the classic against defending NAIA National Champion Azusa Pacific at 5pmCT on Friday and will host Bethel at 2pmCT on Saturday.

The Lady Tigers are joining the Campbellsville/Taylor County Toys for Tots Drive by offering free admission to the classic with the donation of a toy at the gate or by making a minimum donation of $10 to Toys for Tots.

The offer is good for one free admission per toy or donation for each day of the classic.

Toys can be donated for ages ranging from an infant to 13.

Toys for Tots organizers ask that no toy weapons or violent toys be donated.

Also, the donation of stuffed animals is discouraged due to a large donation of stuffed animals already received this year.

Toys and donations collected will be donated to Toys for Tots through the Campbellsville/Taylor County Emergency Medical Services and Q 104.7 FM. The collected items will be distributed throughout Taylor County on Saturday, December 24. If anyone is interested in helping distribute the toys, visit the emergency medical services office on December 24 at 7:30amCT.
