A Special Thank You to Tabernacle Christian Church

This would seem like a little thing to some people, but I must say once you have had the opportunity to share with the older folks there it is a HUGE thing to them. -MARGARET SMITH HARDEN

By Margaret Smith Harden

Recently the Tabernacle Christian Church made a visit to Summit Manor Nursing Home and made several residents smile (one in particular). On Sunday, December 4, 2011 my mother, Frances Smith, was in the hospital suffering from pneumonia when they visited.

When they came by her room she wasn't there, but they did not forget her. They left her a beautiful poinsettia.

This morning she got to go back to the Nursing Home and was surprised with another beautiful flower.

My mom has always loved flowers and this meant a lot ot her. She loves anything anyone shares with her.

This would seem like a little thing to some people, but I must say once you have had the opportunity to share with the older folks there it is a HUGE thing to them.

I appreciate very much the things that are done by the volunteers and workers that make her smile. She recently celebrated her 91st birthday and as always she made me smile a lot.

Again, I want to thank all the people that come by my mom's room and give her a smile, a hello, sing a song, or take the time to visit. One will never know how much they appreciate your company there.

If you want a rewarding experience this Christmas season stop in a have a visit. It will be a rewarding experience one will never forget. -MARGARET SMITH HARDEN
