Basketball: LWC women ranked in NAIA top 25 Next: Lindsey Wilson Women vs. Bethel University Friday and Saturday, December 9-10, 2011, at the CBT Classic hosted by Campbellsville (KY) University, at Powell Athletic Center, 203 Tiger Way, Campbellsville, KY. The Blue Raiders face No. 12-ranked Bethel ((TN) University at 7pmCT on Friday and Azusa Pacific at 4pmCT on Saturday. By Chris Wells KANSAS CITY, MO - The Lindsey Wilson College women's basketball is No. 25 in the first regular season NAIA Division I Women's Basketball Coaches' Top-25 Poll, released on Monday by NAIA officials. The Blue Raiders slipped 11 spots in the poll after being ranked No. 14 in the preseason poll. Lindsey Wilson received 60 voting points from the 12 coaches that make up the national raters. LWC is 6-3 overall this season after winning back-to-back conference games last week. The Blue Raiders are 2-1 in the Mid-South Conference. The MSC leads all conferences with the five ranked teams in the poll. No. 7 Shawnee State University, No. 14 Campbellsville University, No. 15 University of the Cumberlands and No. 21 Georgetown College also enjoy a national ranking. Oklahoma City University is a unanimous No. 1 with 312 voting points. Union (Tenn.) University is second with 298 voting points followed by the defending national champions Azusa Pacific (Calif.) University at third with 296 voting points. The poll is voted upon by a panel of head coaches representing each conference, the independents and unaffiliated groups.
