CU Basketball joins community Toys for Tots drive A toy will be cost of admission to Women's Basketball Tournament at Campbellsville University's Powell Athletic Center, 203 Tiger Way, Campbellsville, KY, Friday-Saturday, December 9-10, 2011. Tournament will feature four NAIA Top 25 teams: Campbellsville University (No. 8), Lindsey Wilson College (No. 14), Bethel University (No. 6) and Azuza Pacific University (No. 1) By Chris Megginson News from Campbellsville Athletics CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY - Campbellsville University Athletics and Lady Tiger Basketball are joining the Campbellsville/Taylor County Toys for Tots Drive by offering free admission to its CBT Classic, December 9-10, 2011, at Powell Athletic Center, 204 Tiger Way, Campbellsville, KY Fans will receive free admission when they bring a toy to the gate or make a minimum donation of $10 to Toys for Tots. The offer is good one per person, per day of the tournament. Toys can be donated for ages ranging from an infant to 13. Toys for Tots organizers ask that no toy weapons or violent toys be donated. Also, the donation of stuffed animals is discouraged due to a large donation of stuffed animals already received this year. The tournament will feature four teams ranked in the NAIA Top 25. No. 8 Campbellsville will host the defending NAIA national champion, No. 1 Azusa Pacific University, in the first game Friday, December 9 at 6pmET/5pmCT. Lindsey Wilson College, ranked No. 14, will meet No. 6 Bethel University at 8pmET/7pmCT.Saturday's game will feature Campbellsville and Bethel at 3pmET/2pmCT and Lindsey Wilson against Azusa Pacific at 5pmET/4pmCT.Toys and donations collected through the CBT Classic will be donated to Toys for Tots through the Campbellsville/Taylor County Emergency Medical Services and a local radio station, 104.7 FM. They will be distributed throughout Taylor County on Saturday, Dec. 24. If anyone is interested in helping to distribute the toys, visit CTCEMS on December 24 at 8:30amCT.
