Camp Casey Students Decorate Trees Students who participate in Camp Casey, a 21st Century Community Learning Center, visited the Lindsey Wilson College Campus yesterday afternoon to decorate a couple of Christmas trees at the Health and Wellness Center. The trees will be a part of the Christmas Carnival planned for the center on Saturday, December 3. All students from Col. Wm. Casey had worked on ornaments with Mrs. Linda Lewis in their art class during the last couple of weeks. Camp Casey students have also been busy making ornaments with LWC Bonner Scholars who lead Awesome Art classes throughout the week. While we were there trimming the trees, Bonner Scholars were making paper snowflakes to hang from the ceiling of the multipurpose room. This sparked much curiosity among our students, so the Bonners began showing and helping our students to make these paper creations. We are just so incredibly blessed to have a program like the Bonner Scholars in our community and to have such a wealth of resources all over the Lindsey Wilson College campus. Following our tree trimming we boarded the bus and stopped off at the Cafe on the Square for hot cocoa. Students and staff alike highly recommend that you try this treat right away!! Everyone at the Cafe was incredibly nice and we'd like to thank them for helping to make this a special afternoon for our students. Patty Jones, Principal Col. Wm. Casey Elementary School 220 Gen.
