JIM: An appeal from the Editor, 1904

History has come around. CM has noticed a dearth of important news of ' shooting and cutting scrapes' so important to the Adair County New of 1904. However, CM does want any society news, accounts of little dancing parties , etc - but we don't know how to handle 'Mr. So-and-So called to see his best girl' exposes, so we leave out romantic trysts, for now. -CM

By JIM

(From the Adair County News, February 24, 1904.)
Correspondents will bear in mind that we do not want neighborhood visits, little dancing parties, and Mr. So-and-So called to see his best girl. We want readable items, news that will be of general interest: crop items, accidents, trades, shooting and cutting scrapes we invariably publish. When a death occurs in your neighborhood, report it. If improvements are going on in your immediate locality, speak of it. If you want to advocate a measure, looking to the interest of your community, you are free to use our columns. It is our intention to select the very best items for our paper.
Submitted by the diligent researcher, JIM. From whence it is not revealed.
