AHA-Courthouse and An Old Fashioned Christmas in Columbia

By Ellen Zornes, Chairperson
News from the Adair Heritage Association

Our historic Adair County Courthouse, 500 Public Square, Columbia, will be open and part of this year's Christmas in Columbia event on Saturday, December 3, 2pm-6pmCT.

The courthouse will be decorated in period style and we will be offering for sale former mayor, Pat Bell, signed and numbered watercolor prints of the courthouse and note cards. Also available will be the new 2012 Courthouse calendar, Courthouse sweatshirts, T-shirts and the Chamber of Commerce 2010 Courthouse ornaments.

And, for that finishing touch, gifts will be wrapped in your choice of an old fashioned Christmas in newspaper and grass string or in regular gift wrap. So purchase your Christmas gifts during Christmas in Columbia and then, stop by the Courthouse and have them wrapped. All proceeds will go to the historic Courthouse preservation effort. Donations will be accepted for wrapping with all proceeds will go to the historic Courthouse preservation effort. -ELLEN ZORNES
