LWC Women's Soccer hosts Roberts Wesleyan, National playoffs Game time for Saturday, November 19, 2011 first round play, No. 1 in Nation LWC Women's Soccer team, Walter S. Reuling Stadium, 151 Holloway Drive, Columbia, KY, to be announced Monday, November 14, 2011 By Dan White News from Lindsey Athletics KANSAS CITY, NI - Ranked No. 1 in the final NAIA Coaches' Top-25 Poll and ending the regular season with a 17-0-2 record, the Lindsey Wilson College women's soccer team is the top overall seed in the 2011 NAIA Women's Soccer National Championship which starts on Saturday with opening-round play at campus sites. The Blue Raiders play hosts to Roberts Wesleyan (NY) University on Saturday, November 19, 2011 at Walter S. Reuling Stadium, 151 Holloway Drive, Columbia, KY. Game time has not been set and will be announced by Lindsey Wilson on Monday. Lindsey Wilson's men's team also plays Roberts Wesleyan in its opening-round game the same day. The Blue Raiders qualified for their 13th NAIA championship appearance by winning the Mid-South Conference Tournament with a 3-0 decision against Georgetown (KY) College last week. The Raiders of Roberts Wesleyan (10-9-1) punched their ticket to the championship by winning the American Mideast Conference Tournament title. This is the program's first appearance in the NAIA Championship. Roberts Wesleyan won its conference tournament in dramatic fashion, tying Houghton (NY) College 1-1 before advancing by penalty kicks 3-2 to earn its bid.
