LWC Volleyball faces Taylor in NAIA National Tournament Opener Lindsey Wilson Volleyball vs Taylor University Saturday, (Time TBA) November 19, 2011 in Odle Arena, (MAP). 6828 S 900 E Hodson Road Upland, IN 288 miles, 5 hours, 45 minutes, according to Google Maps, from Biggers Arena, 360 Spickard Drive, Columbia, KY, home of Blue Raider Volleyball. By Chris Wells COLUMBIA, KY - Coach Andy Cavins and his Lindsey Wilson College volleyball team will open the NAIA National Tournament at Taylor (IN) University on Saturday, November 19, 2011 in Upland, IN. Lindsey Wilson, the Mid-South Conference champions, faces a Taylor team which earned one of the tournament's 11 at-large bids. Taylor (29-7) is No. 18 in the final Tachikara-NAIA Volleyball Coaches' Top 25 Poll.Saturday's match is one of 12 opening round matches around the NAIA.. The Blue Raiders (31-2) are making the program's first national tournament appearance on the heels of winning their first Mid-South Conference regular season and tournament titles.. Lindsey Wilson has won four straight matches entering Saturday's play and 24 of its last 25 matches dating back to early September.. Taylor captured the Mid-Central College Conference regular season title with a 17-1 record but lost to then-No. 15-ranked Indiana Wesleyan University in the conference tournament finals 3-2.. The Trojans are making their seventh national tournament appearance, including their third straight. Taylor is 10-15 all-time at nationals.. Taylor is led by MCC player of the year Kelsey Pritchard who ranks 11th in the NAIA with 513 kills this season. Setter Betsey Brown and Middle Hitter Ashlyn DeHoogh joined Pritchard on the all-conference team. Brown enters Saturday's match averaging 11.9 assists per game while DeHoogh owns 136 blocks this season.. Saturday's opening round winners join host Morningside (Iowa) College and 11 teams that earned byes at the NAIA National Tournament's final site at Sioux City, Iowa. The final site scheduled begins on Tuesday, Nov. 29 and runs through Saturday, December 3, 2011.Full details of Saturday's match, including time, will be announced later this week. -CHRIS WELLS.
