RIO GRANDE, OH - Campbellsville University senior midfielder Casey Clarke was named a men's soccer All-Conference selection Wednesday by the Mid-South Conference. He was joined in the list of honors by honorable mention selections Alen Karapandzic, John Kennedy and Ramiro Sanchez.

The awards were announced at the MSC annual pre-tournament banquet at the University of Rio Grande, where the MSC semifinal round was played Wednesday. The championships are scheduled for Thursday evening.

Clarke, a native of London, England, led Campbellsville with eight goals on the season and had one assist. Sanchez, a native of Cali, Colombia, also had eight goals in only 12 games played. Karapandzic (Danville, Ky.) and Kennedy (Lochgilphead, Scotland) each anchored the Tiger defense all season.

The top award in the MSC this season went to University of Rio Grande junior forward Richard Isberner as the Mid-South Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Year. The Sao Paulo, Brazil, native leads the MSC in points, goals and assists this season. He entered Wednesday with 27 goals, 17 assists for 71 points. He also leads the NAIA in total points, assists and is second in goals scored.

A trio from Lindsey Wilson College also received individual recognition for being the top vote getters in their category this season. Lindsey Wilson freshman defender Carl Petersson was named MSC Freshman of Year, Lindsey Wilson coach Ray Wells earned MSC Coach of the Year honors and Lindsey Wilson junior forward Lebogang Moloto is the MSC Men's Soccer Champions of Character recipient.

In addition to awarding its student-athletes for their play on the field this season, the MSC recognized its academic all-conference team. Honorees must be at least a sophomore and have a 3.25 and above grade point average on a 4.0 scale.

Achieving academic all-conference standing from Campbellsville were Chris Craven, Mario Renteria and Eric Sheaks.
