Football: Darius Skinner, CU, MSC Defensive Player of Week By Chris Megginson News from Campbellsville Athletics LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Campbellsville University's Darius Skinner is the Mid-South Conference Defensive Player of the Week, the MSC office announced Monday. Skinner intercepted a pair of passes and forced a fumble to help lead the Tigers to a trio of touchdowns off turnovers and wrap up his first MSC award. The Winchester, KY, freshman defensive back ended the Tigers' 42-6 win over UVa.-Wise with five tackles, including one for a loss. Skinner's two interceptions led to Campbellsville scores while his forced fumble set up a scoop and score from teammate Earl McCann. Skinner is tied for 10th in the Mid-South Conference with three interceptions this season. His 46 tackles are tied for fifth on the Campbellsville team. Skinner is the second CU player to receive the MSC Defensive Player of the Week honor in as many weeks. Blake Young took home the honor last week. The MSC Offensive Player of the Week honor went to Georgetown College freshman quarterback Neal Pawsat, who threw for 415 yards and six touchdowns in a 56-27 win over Lindsey Wilson College. Bethel University place kicker Tim Donegan was named the MSC Special Teams Player of the Week after kicking four field goals, including a 42-yarder, in the Wildcats' 25-13 win over Kentucky Christian University.
