91 years ago: a death bed leaves Columbia By JIM This odd bit of information appeared in the Adair County News 91 years ago today - November 3rd, 1920. The death bed upon which R.A.C. Martin, was laid out upon, who was cashier of the Bank of Columbia, and who was murdered by the James Boys and Youngers on the 29th day of April, 1872, left Adair County last Friday (October 29th) for Lebanon. It was purchased by Mr. T.P. Jeffries, and his widow gave it to her daughter, who lives in Lebanon. This story was posted on 2011-11-03 09:18:15
