By Ellen Zornes

We had a large crowd with over 800 in attendance and over 100 photos were taken with Dakota Meyer.

We would like to thank the many volunteers (students and adults) who gave of their time to make our 8th annual HallowRead such a success: ACHS Cheerleaders; ACHS Art Club; ACHS Beta; ACHS National Honor Society; ACHS Library Assistants; ACHS Chemistry Students (aka Weird Scientists); Lindsey Wilson College Division of Education; Adair County Public Library; Adair County Extension Homemakers; A.C.T.I.O.N. Generation.

And a special thank you to our community partners for making the evening possible and for always believing in our kids: Wayne Ray at IGA Food Store; Pizza Hut; Wendy's; Sonic; the local media; Adair County Schools Title I Program. We could not do these extra and fun events without your help. .You are greatly appreciated.

And, to our parents and grandparents for taking the time and effort to allow your child to be part of HallowRead! And of course, Dakota Meyer, for taking the time to be here, to read to us all and to have his picture taken with so many of our children, of all ages! -ELLEN ZORNES
