Casey Co. High chosen as pilot school for College Application Week By Tim Ballard FRANKFORT, KY (2011-11-01) - Casey County High School, Liberty, KY is one of 13 schools across the state that have been chosen as pilot schools for the first-ever College Application Week program. Pilot schools will receive in-depth assistance from the outreach staff of the Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority (KHEAA) during Nov. 14-18, the week officially declared as College Application Week in the Commonwealth. "We are excited to be able to bring our Casey County students together with admissions personnel representing so many great college and universities," said Casey County counselor Bryan Cross. "Kentucky College Application Week is a tremendous opportunity for Casey Countians to find out about these schools, the financial aid and application processes, and, most importantly, to talk one-on-one with their admissions representatives." Kentucky College Application Week is a joint effort of KHEAA, the Kentucky Association for College Admission Counseling (KYACAC), the Kentucky Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (KACRAO), the Kentucky College Coaches Program and other professional organizations involved in college planning and access.KHEAA is the state agency that administers KEES, need-based grants and other programs to help students pay their higher education expenses.
