Adair and alumni won 3 of 5 State KMEA titles!

Quite an acoomplishement for the ADAIR dynasty: With Director Tom Case and ADAIR winning Class 3A, and former band members and Adair County graduates Jaime Smith winning Class 2A with LaRue Co., and Jeff Hood winning the 5A, and Eric Hale taking Bourbon County to 3A second place

By Vicki Brock Miller

If I'm not mistaken another Adair County alumnus, Jeff Hood, won Class 5A in Bowling Green Saturday night. He is the band director at Paul Lawrence Dunbar High School in Lexington.

Jeff and I were in the Adair County Band together many years ago. Walt Tooley was our director.

We competed and won at the state competition which was held at the fairgrounds in Louisville in about 1969.

In this year's KMEA State competition Adair Co. and two alumnus won three out of five classes. In my opinion that is quite an accomplishment! -VICKY BROCK MILLER
