Bobby Wayne Willis, 73, of Columbia, died Saturday, October 29, 2011 at 7:15amCT, at his residence.

A celebration of the life of Bobby Wayne Willis will be Monday, October 31, 2011 at 2pmCT, at the Columbia United Methodist Church, 202 Burkesville Street, Columbia, KY, with Rev. Neil Janes and Rev. Richard Lowe officiating. The family will receive friends after 12 Noon Monday at the church.



Bobby Wayne Willis, Adair County, KY (1938-2011)

He was born October 1, 1938, in Adair Co., KY. He was the son of late Ernest and Lillian Coffey Willis. He died Saturday, October 29, 2011, in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of 73 years, 28 days.

He was a member of Columbia United Methodist Church, a retired barber, a former rural mail carrier and was a former businessman, owning the Sears store.

Survivors include:
  • His wife: Edie Egbert of Columbia, KY

  • Two sons: Jeff Willis of Monticello, Allan (Pati) Willis of Friday Harbor, Washington

  • Three special daughters: Janie Edwards of Perryville, KY; Patty Wilson of Columbia, KY; and Karen Jewell of London, KY

  • Six grandchildren: Chase Willis, Dillon Willis, Cameron Willis, Jean Anne Zink, Josh Jewell, and Jaclyn Jewell

  • One great grandchild; Nathan Zink

  • His mother-in-law - Emily Egbert of Columbia, KY
In accordance with Bobby's wishes, cremation has taken place.In lieu of flowers, donations should be made for School Scholarships for children in Belize through the Columbia United Methodist Church. These may be made at the church.
