Dakota Meyer will be special guest at HallowRead, October 27, 2011

Sgt. Meyer will read a book and will be available afterwards for pictures

By Ellen Zornes

The 8th Annual HallowRead will be 4pm-6pmCT, Thursday, October 27, at Adair County High School, 526 Indian Drive, Columbia, KY. There will be the usual themed reading rooms, pizza and drinks, face painting, weird scientists, candy and goody bags.

This year only, we will have a very special guest with us, Sgt. Dakota Meyer will read a book at approximately 5:40pmCT, in the gym following the Weird Scientists' performance.

After he reads, he will be in the school library for pictures to be taken. A 5x7 photo will be taken in the library, at no cost, and will be delivered to your child's school. If you do not attend an Adair County School, pictures may be picked up at Adair County High School. Please feel free to bring your own camera as well. Anyone who would like to have their photo taken but does not have children to take part in HallowRead is asked to please not arrive until 6pmCT. Thank you, and we hope to see you at this year's HallowRead! - ELLEN ZORNES
