Power lines down on East 80 near Russell Road

Larry Smith of FM 97.2 the WAVE radio called ColumbiaMagazine.com this morning to share information on the Russell Road/Russell Springs Highway Kentucky 80 East travel. Power lines are all over the road near Conover Lane.

Units of the Kentucky Department of Highways, the Adair County Sheriff's Office and City of Columbia Police, and Adair County Search and Rescue are on hand and traffic is slowed or stopped from Franklin Nissan to Green Hills Road. No cause for the problem has yet been determined.

Utilities companies are expected in soon.
