Ronoh is LWC's-1st National Cross Country Runner of the week The national honor is the first in program history for the Blue Raiders! Click on headline for full story and photo KANSAS CITY, MO - Lindsey Wilson College's Sharon Ronoh has been tabbed the NAIA National Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week, officials from the national office announced on Wednesday. The national honor is the first in program history for the Blue Raiders. Ronoh was selected based on her performances from October 10 - 16, 2011. The Timbora, Kenya native was chosen out of a pool of conference/independent/unaffiliated group runners of the week. To earn the award the junior harrier ran a course-record 5K time of 18 minutes and 4.22 seconds to take top honors at the NCAA Division III Wilmington (Ohio) College Fall Classic on October 14, 2011. The individual title was Ronoh's fourth straight of the season as she finished 29 seconds ahead of the runner-up in a field of 241. Ronoh helped lead the Blue Raiders to a 12th-place finish with 397 points in the team standings. The next Runners of the Week announcement from the NAIA will be on October 26, 2011. -DAN WHITE.
