The photo of Ben Franklins takes me back!

I remember before we moved to Columbia, we would come visit all our Bailey kin folk several times a year.

Dad (Vitis Bailey) always gave my brothers and me a dollar on the day we spent in town and we would go to Ben Franklins to spend it every time!

Those were some fun times.

We would spend the whole day on the square. My cousin Julia's husband, Howard Bailey, worked at the Western Auto and Dads cousin Maxine ran one of the pool halls.

We would stop in and see them all.

I live in North Carolina now, but I will ALWAYS call Columbia home! -VANESSA BAILEY CAUSEY
